Kia Ora Everyone,

A full newsletter will come out next week but we wanted to let our community know that Alana Bridger has accepted a position at Central School(joining Mr Johnson) for 2020. Alana is currently our Year 6 classroom teacher and is so well respected and liked by everyone. We are sad to see her go but she is ready for a change (after 6 years here) to be closer to where she lives and a new challenge.

On a positive note, we have employed a male teacher, Victor du Toit, from Auckland, who is actually a friend of Alana’s. He starts in 2020 as our Year 6 teacher and will also be our Associate Principal. He is very sporty and an amazing teacher with a strength in digital technologies as well.  He will be moving down from Auckland with his wife. We know you will all welcome him and his wife to our awesome community.

Max Pringle has accepted a position at Motoroa School where she will be joining Mr Hislop as one of his Junior Teachers. Max has been at Tikorangi for 4 years as our Junior Team Leader leading Learn Through Play and collaborative teaching.  Max is a passionate teacher and respected by us all.  We wish her all the very best. We are currently advertising for a Junior teacher for next year and already have some high calibre, experienced teachers who have expressed interest in applying. Rachel Olson (Deputy Principal) will be leading the Junior team in 2020 and returning to the classroom and teaching Year 3.

Warm Regards

Kerry Nancarrow
